A beautifully hand-carved solid teak table lamp in the form of a blooming lotus flower.  The crafting skill is exceptional, with intricate detailing of petals, leaves and smaller blossoms surrounding the central stem.  The upper section opens out like a flower in bloom, revealing the bulb inside and casting warm, organic light patterns on the wall.  This lamp is both sculptural and functional - a striking piece of Swedish design from c.1950s.
