This antique Japanese-inspired black lacquer table features detailed mother-of-pearl inlay depicting a traditional scene, likely from the Edwardian period. 

The rectangular top is finished in deep black lacquer and bordered with a fine gilt geometric pattern. At one corner sits a small scene picked out in iridescent mother-of-pearl inlay, depicting a stylised structure beneath scattered cloud forms. The shimmering shell contrasts beautifully against the dark lacquer ground and catches the light with subtle colour. Age-related wear to the lacquer and some losses to the inlay add to its authentic character and history.

It is supported by three slender legs and a triangular shelf part way down. Ideal spot for a small plant or favourite trinket. 

Use this as a small lamp or side table. It’s pretty Asian style will add an element of eclecticism to your interior
