A charming set of six Victorian oak dining chairs circa 1890's, comprising of four side chairs and two matching carver armchairs, each beautifully upholstered in traditional floral needlepoint.

The chairs have substantial oak frames with turned front legs, while the two carvers feature attractively shaped open arms supported on turned uprights. The real feature of the set is the wonderfully decorative needlepoint upholstery. The seats and backs are decorated with scrolling floral designs in soft blues, greens, pinks and muted earthy tones. A generous multicoloured tasselled fringe finishes both the seats and backrests, giving the chairs a particularly rich and characterful appearance. Just stunning for around a dining table.
