Edwardian mahogany marble top washstand from early 1900s. Made from rich, warm mahogany with lovely inlaid detail, featuring a distinctive white marble top and matching marble gallery upstand. It includes a 'blind' panelled two door cupboard on the base, providing generous storage capacity and has its original brass hardware. The base is raised on elegant square tapered legs, finished with brass castors for ease of movement. Historically used for morning ablutions in bedrooms before modern plumbing, these pieces are now popular as sideboards, entry consoles and even adapted for use as vanity units in bathrooms.
