A Maple & Co Ash Compactum two-door wardrobe.  Maple & Co was first established in London in the early 1800s by John Maple.  By the 1880s they were the largest furniture store in the world. During the late 19th and early 20th century they had showrooms and workshops in London, Paris and Buenos Aires. And, this wardrobe is a Maple & Co. piece from about the 1920s. 

This wardrobe is in beautiful condition and the slightly bowed double doors have a wonderful Ash wood flame and glow.  Inside, the left offers a full hanging space with a brass rail, while the righ provides a combination of shelves, two glazed-front drawers and two solid front pull out shelves for versatile storage.  It has original brass fittings and decorative brass escutcheons and stands on elegant short cabriole legs with subtle carvings.
